Who We Are

NAMDE is an organization that brings together digital entrepreneurs of color and provides services, programs, and advocacy on their behalf. Founded in September 2010, NAMDE’s mission is to cultivate an ecosystem that fosters access to opportunities and information and promotes growth and wealth creation for its membership. NAMDE is a 501(c)(6) organization that has headquarters in Washington, D.C and a satellite office in Silicon Valley in California.

What We Do

NAMDE fulfills its mission through two primary means: Advocacy and Education. Advocacy: NAMDE advocates the interests of its members to the investment community in the interest of ensuring its membership has access to capital resources and the information and data members need to enable themselves to qualify for and receive capital support for their respective companies.

NAMDE advocates the needs of its members to and within the corporate community by, among other things, promoting best practices when it comes to hiring and procuring the services and employment of minority and multicultural business owners, organizations and entities in the digital broadband market. NAMDE promotes the interest of its members in the political community before decision making bodies that have direct and indirect impact on the ability of members to sustain their business and be able to compete among majority-owned companies. Education: NAMDE directly serves our members within the greater technology community and potential stakeholders by providing information and opportunities through culture-specific training.


NAMDE is committed to the following:

  • Developing a community among and supporting digital entrepreneurs of color

  • Promoting public policies that support innovation and entrepreneurship withinminority communities

  • Fostering fairness in the workplace and accessibility to opportunities, recruiting activities,professional development and training within the tech industry for people of color;

  • Increasing the participation of multicultural digital professionals in management positionsand encouraging entrepreneurship

  • Mentoring minority high school and college students to identify and encourage theirinvolvement in this industry

  • Establishing an exemplary organization of multicultural digital professionals that honors
